F30801 — Power unit DRIVE-CLiQ: Sign-of-life missing

F30801 is raised when the Control Unit (CU) no longer receives a valid sign-of-life from the power unit concerned over DRIVE-CLiQ. The manual pinpoints the trigger: fault cause 10 (= 0A hex) — the sign-of-life bit in the receive telegram is not set. A too high computing time load can also be behind the message. The drive reacts by tripping to OFF2, and the fault must be acknowledged immediately before the drive will run again. Which power unit reported the fault is read from the message value: it is coded in r0949 (or r2124) as 0000yyxx hex, where yy is the component number and xx the error cause. The S120/S150 and G130/G150 manuals describe this fault identically.

• A DRIVE-CLiQ communication error has occurred from the Control Unit to the power unit concerned.
• The computing time load on the drive might be too high.
• Fault cause 10 (= 0A hex): the sign-of-life bit in the receive telegram is not set.

1. Read the message value in r0949 (or r2124): in the coding 0000yyxx hex, yy identifies the component number of the component that reported the fault.
2. Deselect functions that are not required to lower the computing time load.
3. If required, increase the sampling times p0112 and p0115.
4. Replace the component involved — the power unit or the Control Unit.

• The drive enters the component number under %1 and the fault cause under %2.
• In the message value (r0949/r2124) the information is coded as 0000yyxx hex: yy = component number, xx = error cause.
• For this fault the fault cause is 10 (= 0A hex): the sign-of-life bit in the receive telegram is not set.

• r2124 — alarm value: the manual names it next to r0949 as the register in which the same coded message value is stored.
• p0112 — sampling times pre-setting (t_samp for p0115): increase it when the computing time load is too high.
• p0115 — sampling time for supplementary functions (t_samp suppl_fct): increase it, if required, together with p0112 to reduce the load.

Acknowledge the fault immediately once its cause has been removed. Because the drive has tripped to OFF2, it stays out of operation until the acknowledgment is carried out. If F30801 returns, work through the remedy again: reduce the computing time load by deselecting unneeded functions or increasing p0112/p0115, or replace the power unit or Control Unit involved.
