F30685 — SI Motion P2: Safely Limited Speed limit value too high

F30685 (SI Motion P2: Safely Limited Speed limit value too high) is raised when the limit value set for the Safety Integrated (SI) function Safely-Limited Speed (SLS) is greater than the speed that corresponds to an encoder limit frequency of 500 kHz. The manual notes that this fault does not result in a safety stop response. In the same manuals, SLS is also listed under the name SG (Safely reduced speed).

• The SLS limit value is set to a speed that lies above the speed corresponding to an encoder limit frequency of 500 kHz.

1. Read the fault value in r0949 and interpret it as a decimal number: it contains the maximum permissible speed.
2. Check the configured SLS limit values in p9331 (SI Motion SLS limit values, Motor Module).
3. Reduce the SLS limit values so that none of them exceeds the maximum permissible speed shown in r0949.
4. Carry out a POWER ON so that the corrected limit values become effective.

• The drive stores the fault value in r0949; for F30685 it must be interpreted as a decimal number.
• The decoded value is the maximum permissible speed, i.e. the highest SLS speed the encoder limit frequency of 500 kHz still allows.

• p9331 — SI Motion SLS limit values (Motor Module): the parameter in which the SLS limit values are configured; correct these values here when F30685 occurs.
• r0949 — fault value: for F30685 it displays the maximum permissible speed; read the value as a decimal number.

The remedy is to Correct the limit values for SLS and carry out a POWER ON. A POWER ON is therefore part of clearing the fault: once the corrected limit values are in p9331, the drive leaves the fault state after the POWER ON and can be restarted.
