F30625 — SI P2: Sign-of-life error in safety data

F30625 means that the drive-integrated Safety Integrated function in monitoring channel 2 has detected an error in the sign-of-life of the safety data exchanged between the two monitoring channels and has therefore initiated a STOP A. On a G120 the manual words the same condition as a communication error between processor 1 and processor 2. The drive is stopped safely and will only restart once the fault has been acknowledged with a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on).

• A DRIVE-CLiQ communication error between the two monitoring channels, or a failure of that communication (G130, G150, S120, S150). On a G120 the corresponding cause is a communication error between processor 1 and processor 2, or a failure of that communication.
• A time slice overflow of the safety software has occurred (all families).
• On G130, G150, S120 and S150 only: the enable of the safety functions in the two monitoring channels is inconsistent — p9601 = 0 while p9801 <> 0.

1. Select Safe Torque Off and then de-select it again.
2. Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on); on the G130, G150, S120 and S150 the manual says to do this for all components.
3. Check whether there is a DRIVE-CLiQ communication error between the two monitoring channels and, for any faults identified, carry out the diagnostics routine (G130, G150, S120, S150). On a G120, check instead whether additional faults are present and perform diagnostics as required.
4. De-select all drive functions that are not absolutely necessary and reduce the number of drives (G130, G150, S120, S150 only).
5. Check the electrical cabinet design and the cable routing for EMC compliance.
6. On G130, G150, S120 and S150: check the enable of the safety functions for both monitoring channels (p9601, p9801) and correct it if required.

The drive stores the fault value in r0949; interpret it as a decimal number. The manuals state that this value is only for internal Siemens troubleshooting and print no decoding of their own for it.

• r0949 — displays the fault value of F30625; read it as a decimal. Its content is only meaningful for internal Siemens troubleshooting.
• p9601 — the enable of the Safety Integrated functions integrated in the drive on the Control Unit side; with this fault, check whether it is set inconsistently against p9801 (the manual names the combination p9601 = 0, p9801 <> 0) and correct it if required.
• p9801 — the enable of the Safety Integrated functions integrated in the drive on the Motor Module side; check it together with p9601 so that the safety functions are enabled consistently in both monitoring channels.

Acknowledgement is by POWER ON: the drive is switched off and switched on again — on the G130, G150, S120 and S150 for all components. The remedy sequence first selects and de-selects Safe Torque Off and then performs the POWER ON. If F30625 comes back after the restart, work through the checks above, in particular the DRIVE-CLiQ communication between the monitoring channels and the consistency of p9601 and p9801.
