What it means
F30600 is reported by the drive-integrated "Safety Integrated" (SI) function when its second monitoring channel has detected a fault and initiated a STOP A. The manual defines this STOP A as STO via the safety switch-off signal path of monitoring channel 2
. Two situations lead to it: the forced checking procedure (test stop) of this safety switch-off signal path was unsuccessful, or the fault is the subsequent response to F30611 (defect in a monitoring channel). The drive responds with OFF2, so it coasts to a standstill and will not restart until the fault has been acknowledged. On the G120 the manual describes the same event on processor 2 in terms of suppressed or enabled pulses rather than an active or inactive STO, and on HLA drive objects it is described for the Hydraulic Module. Which condition the drive saw is stored as a decimal fault value in r0949, and that value decides the remedy.

What to check
- Read the fault value in r0949 and interpret it as a decimal number; the decoding below shows which condition the drive detected.
- Select Safe Torque Off (STO) and deselect it again.
- Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components.
- For fault value 1005 on a Power Module with "STO via terminals at the Power Module" (terminals STO_A/STO_B): set both DIP switches to "OFF", or enable the "STO via terminals at the Power Module" function (it is disabled while p9601.7 = p9801.7 = 0).
- For fault value 1020: upgrade the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module software and, if required, replace the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module.
- For fault value 1030: check the discrepancy time and, if required, increase the value (p9650/p9850); then check the STO terminal at the Power Module (contact problems).
- For fault value 9999: carry out diagnostics for fault F30611.
- If the POWER ON does not clear the fault, replace the module involved — the Motor Module, the Power Module or the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module, depending on the converter.

The drive stores the fault value in r0949; interpret it as a decimal number.
- 0 — stop request from the Control Unit; on a G120, from processor 1.
- 1005 — STO active although STO is not selected and no internal STOP A is present; on the G120, pulses suppressed although STO is not selected and no internal STOP A is present. On a Power Module with "STO via terminals at the Power Module" (STO_A/STO_B), the terminals are active (DIP switch to "ON") although the function is not enabled (p9601.7 = p9801.7 = 0).
- 1010 — STO inactive although STO is selected or an internal STOP A is present; on the G120, pulses enabled although STO is selected or an internal STOP A is present.
- 1011 — internal error for STO deselected in monitoring channel 2; on the G120, an internal fault for the pulse enable in the Power Module.
- 1020 (Motor Module/Hydraulic Module) — internal software error in the "Internal voltage protection" function. The function is withdrawn and

- 1030 (Power Module, G120) — the feedback signals of the safety switch-off signal paths for the "STO via terminals at the Power Module" function are different.

Parameters the manual names

Acknowledging and restarting
The fault is acknowledged with a POWER ON, i.e. switching off and switching on again for all components; the manual's remedy additionally calls for selecting Safe Torque Off once and deselecting it again. If the fault comes back, work through the remedy for the specific fault value in r0949, and replace the Motor Module, Power Module or Hydraulic Module involved where the POWER ON does not help. Fault value 1020 is an exception: the STOP A initiated there cannot be acknowledged at all, so the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module software must be upgraded and the module replaced. After fault value 9999 the underlying fault F30611 must be diagnosed first.
