Why it appears
- The temperature measured using the temperature sensing of the Terminal Module (TM) on channel 3 (r4105[3]) has exceeded the threshold value set to initiate this alarm (p4102[6]).
What to check
- Read the temperature actually measured on channel 3 in r4105[3] and compare it with the alarm threshold in p4102[6]; the alarm value r2124 holds the temperature actual value at the time of initiation (interpret decimal, in 0.1 °C).
- Check the sensor type set in p4100[3]: when a PTC thermistor or a bimetallic NC contact (p4100[3] = 1, 4) is connected, the drive derives the temperature value from the sensor resistance in r4101[3], so read r4101[3] to interpret what is reported.
Allow the temperature sensor to cool down to below p4102[6] - hysteresis (5 K, for TM150, can be set using p4118[3]).
The alarm then clears by itself.
Reading the message value
- Alarm value (r2124, interpret decimal): temperature actual value at the time of initiation, scaled in 0.1 °C.
- For sensor type PTC thermistor and bimetallic NC contact (p4100[3] = 1, 4): if r4101[3] > 1650 ohms, r4105[3] = 250 °C; if r4101[3] <= 1650 ohms, r4105[3] = -50 °C.

Acknowledging and restarting
The alarm needs no acknowledgement. It goes by itself once the temperature sensor has cooled down to below p4102[6] minus the hysteresis (5 K; on a TM150 settable in p4118[3]). If the drive is configured to issue the same condition as a fault (F), the fault is acknowledged immediately via POWER ON; as the no-reaction variant (N) no acknowledgement is required either.
