What it means

A35211 comes from a Terminal Module (TM): the temperature acquired through its temperature sensing, channel 0 (r4105[0]), has risen above the alarm threshold set in p4102[0]. Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be output as a fault (F) or as a message without a reaction (N) instead of the alarm.

Why it appears

  • The temperature measured using the temperature sensing of the Terminal Module (TM) — value r4105[0] — has exceeded the threshold value in p4102[0] that initiates this alarm.

What to check

  1. Compare the temperature currently measured via the Terminal Module's temperature sensing (r4105[0]) with the alarm threshold p4102[0].
  2. Allow the temperature sensor to cool down to below p4102[0] minus the hysteresis — the hysteresis is 5 K, and on a TM150 it can be set using p4118[0].
  3. If the sensor is a PTC thermistor or a bimetallic NC contact (p4100[0] = 1, 4), read the sensor resistance in r4101[0]: a resistance above 1650 ohms corresponds to 250 °C, one of 1650 ohms or less to -50 °C.

Reading the message value

  • Alarm value (r2124, interpret decimal): the temperature actual value at the time the alarm was initiated, in 0.1 °C.
  • For sensor type "PTC thermistor" and "Bimetallic NC contact" (p4100[0] = 1, 4):
    • r4101[0] > 1650 ohms: r4105[0] = 250 °C
    • r4101[0] <= 1650 ohms: r4105[0] = -50 °C

Acknowledging and restarting

No acknowledgement is needed: the drive does not intervene in operation on this alarm, and it clears by itself once the temperature at the sensor falls below p4102[0] minus the hysteresis. If the drive is configured to output the condition as a fault (F) instead, the manual specifies acknowledgement IMMEDIATELY (POWER ON).
