A35075 — TM54F: Error during internal communication

A35075 reports that the Terminal Module 54F (TM54F) has run into an error in its internal communication. The manual points to two configuration situations that produce this alarm even when nothing is physically wrong: the TM54F master and the TM54F slave must carry identical settings in p10000 (the TM54F communication clock cycle) and in p10010 (the TM54F drive object assignment). Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be output as a fault; the description below covers both variants.

• The TM54F has registered an error in its internal data exchange.
• p10000 (TM54F master) and p10000 (TM54F slave) hold different values.
• p10010 (TM54F master) and p10010 (TM54F slave) hold different values.

1. Compare the TM54F master against the TM54F slave. If p10000 or p10010 differ, launch the copy function that transfers the node identifier onto the TM54F by setting p9700 = 1D hex.
2. Use p9701 = EC hex so the TM54F accepts the changed SI motion data and the hardware CRC is acknowledged.
3. Store the complete parameter set by writing 1 to p0977.
4. Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components — the preceding steps only take effect after this power cycle.
5. If the parameters already match, the alarm points at a genuine communication problem: review how the electrical cabinet is laid out and how the cables are routed, with attention to EMC.
6. Install a current software version on the TM54F.
7. If the alarm keeps recurring, contact Technical Support.
8. As the final option, replace the TM54F.

• The drive writes an alarm value into r2124, which the manual says to read as a decimal number. It is reserved for internal Siemens diagnostics, so it carries no meaning a technician can act on.

• p10000 — TM54F communication clock cycle: check that master and slave are set alike; a mismatch triggers this alarm.
• p10010 — TM54F drive object assignment: check that master and slave are set alike; a mismatch triggers this alarm.
• p9700 — set to 1D hex to launch the node-identifier copy function on the TM54F.

The parameter steps only become effective once every component has been switched off and switched on again. If the drive outputs the condition as a fault instead of the alarm, this same power cycle is the immediate way to clear it — simply acknowledging on the panel is not enough.
