A35015TM54F: Motor/Hydraulic Module replaced or configuration inconsistent

What it means

A35015 is the alarm the drive raises when cyclic communication between at least one drive and the Terminal Module 54F (TM54F) is no longer active. It concerns drives that run their drive-based motion monitoring functions together with the TM54F: as long as the alarm is present, none of the drives named in the alarm value are enabled.

An alarm value of 0 carries its own message — the number of drive objects entered in p10010 does not match the number of drives whose drive-based motion monitoring functions have been enabled. The alarm is also output when a drive was deactivated and activated again before its DRIVE-CLiQ connection had been established.

Why it appears

  • A Motor/Hydraulic Module was replaced, e.g. during a hardware exchange.
  • The p10010 parameterization of the TM54F does not match the number of drives whose drive-based motion monitoring functions are activated with the TM54F.
  • For the signaled drive, Safe motion monitoring without selection (p9601.5 = 1) is set although this is not permissible for that drive.
  • A drive that has been activated has no communication via DRIVE-CLiQ.
  • p10010 of the TM54F master module differs from p10010 of the TM54F slave module — the drive then also outputs F35051.
  • A drive object number was entered more than once in p10010 of the TM54F master or slave module.
  • The Basis Functions were set up to be controlled via the TM54F while, at the same time, the Extended Safety Functions or ncSI were parameterized.

What to check

  1. Read the alarm value in r2124 binary — it shows which drive is not communicating with the TM54F and which Motor/Hydraulic Module was replaced or does not communicate.
  2. For every drive object entered in p10010, check in p9601 that its drive-based motion monitoring functions with TM54F are enabled.
  3. Check whether F35051 is output as well; if it is, remove the cause there — the p10010 entries of the TM54F master and slave module must be identical.
  4. Check that each drive object number appears only once in the indices of p10010.

Reading the message value

  • The alarm value stands in r2124 and is read binary.
  • Lower byte (xxxx xxxx): inconsistent configuration.
  • Bit 0 … Bit 5 = 1: no communication with drive 1 … drive 6.
  • Upper byte (yyyy yyyy): a Motor/Hydraulic Module was replaced or the DRIVE-CLiQ cable of a Motor/Hydraulic Module is not plugged in.
  • Bit 8 … Bit 13 = 1: the Motor/Hydraulic Module of drive 1 … drive 6 was replaced or does not communicate.

Parameters the manual names

  • r2124 (alarm value) — read it binary to see which drive has no TM54F communication and which Motor/Hydraulic Module was replaced or is disconnected.
  • p10010 (SI TM54F drive object assignment) — check that it matches the number of drives enabled for drive-based motion monitoring, that master and slave module carry the same assignment, and that no drive object number appears twice in its indices.
  • p9601 (SI enable functions integrated in the drive) — check here, for every drive object entered in p10010, that the drive-based motion monitoring functions with TM54F are enabled; p9601.5 = 1 is not permitted for the signaled drive.
  • p9700 (SI Motion copy function) — set to 1D hex to start the copy function for the node identifier on the TM54F after a module replacement.
  • p9701 (Acknowledge SI motion data change) — set to EC hex to acknowledge the hardware CRC on the TM54F.
  • p0977 (Save all parameters) — set to 1 to save before all components are switched off and on again.

Acknowledging and restarting

This alarm does not have to be acknowledged. If a Motor/Hydraulic Module was actually replaced, run the replacement sequence on the TM54F: start the copy function for the node identifier (p9700 = 1D hex), then acknowledge the hardware CRC (p9701 = EC hex), save all parameters (p0977 = 1) and finally switch all components off and on again (POWER ON).
