A35016TM54F: Net data communication with drive not established

What it means

A35016 reports that the cyclic net data communication within the Terminal Module 54F (TM54F) is still not active for at least one drive. The message is output after the TM54F master and the TM54F slave have booted and is withdrawn automatically as soon as communication has been established. The communication status of the individual drives is indicated in r10055; together with p10010 the corresponding drive objects can be identified.

Why it appears

  • The cyclic net data communication within the Terminal Module 54F (TM54F) is still not active for at least one of the drives.
  • The message appears after the TM54F master and TM54F slave have booted, before the net data communication with the drives has been set up.

What to check

  1. Use r10055 to see which drive has not yet established communication and identify the corresponding drive objects with p10010.
  2. If a Motor Module or Hydraulic Module was replaced: start the copy function for the node identifier on the TM54F (p9700 = 1D hex).
  3. Acknowledge the hardware CRC on the TM54F (p9701 = EC hex).
  4. Save all parameters (p0977 = 1).
  5. Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components.
  6. Regardless of the situation above, check for all drive objects specified in p10010 whether the drive-based motion monitoring functions with TM54F are enabled (p9601).
  7. Check whether fault F35150 is present and, if required, remove the cause of this fault.

Parameters the manual names

  • r10055 — shows the TM54F communication status of each individual drive, so you can see which drive has not yet established communication.
  • p10010 — assigns the drive objects to the TM54F; use it together with r10055 to identify the affected drive objects and when checking p9601.
  • p9700 — set to 1D hex to start the copy function for the node identifier on the TM54F after a Motor Module/Hydraulic Module replacement.
  • p9701 — set to EC hex to acknowledge the hardware CRC on the TM54F.
  • p0977 — set to 1 to save all parameters once the copy and acknowledgment steps have been carried out.
  • p9601 — check here, for all drive objects specified in p10010, that the drive-based motion monitoring functions with TM54F are enabled.

Acknowledging and restarting

The alarm needs no acknowledgment: it is withdrawn automatically as soon as the net data communication within the TM54F has been established. The remedy steps only take effect after a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) of all components.

Questions technicians ask

What does A35016 mean on a SINAMICS drive?

It reports that the cyclic net data communication within the Terminal Module 54F (TM54F) is still not active for at least one drive. The alarm appears after the TM54F master and slave have booted.

Does A35016 have to be acknowledged?

No. The alarm is withdrawn automatically as soon as the communication has been established.

How can I see which drive is affected by A35016?

r10055 indicates the communication status of the individual drives. Together with p10010 you can identify the corresponding drive objects.

What must be done after replacing a Motor Module or Hydraulic Module when A35016 is shown?

Start the copy function for the node identifier on the TM54F (p9700 = 1D hex), acknowledge the hardware CRC (p9701 = EC hex), save all parameters (p0977 = 1) and then carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components.
