A30693 — SI P2: Safety parameter settings changed, POWER ON required

A30693 (SI P2) is raised when Safety Integrated parameters have been changed. The new settings are not yet active: they only take effect once the drive has been restarted, and the alarm stands until that has been done. All changed parameters of the safety motion monitoring functions behave the same way. The alarm value in r2124 identifies the parameter whose change triggered the message. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can also be output as a fault instead of an alarm.

• Safety Integrated (SI P2) parameters have been changed, and the changed values only become effective after a restart — which is why the drive raises the alarm.
• On the G130, G150, S120 and S150 the manuals describe the change as taking effect following a warm restart or a POWER ON; the G120 manual names only a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on).

1. Read the alarm value in r2124 (interpret it as a decimal) to identify the safety parameter whose change triggered the alarm.
2. Carry out a warm restart: set p0009 = 30 and p0976 = 2 or 3. The manuals for the G130, G150, S120 and S150 give this as the first remedy.
3. Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components — the manuals list this alongside the warm restart as a way to make the changed parameters effective.
4. On the G120, execute the function "Copy RAM to ROM" and then carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on).
5. Before performing an acceptance test, a POWER ON must be carried out for all components.

• The alarm value is stored in r2124 and must be interpreted as a decimal. It contains the parameter number of the safety parameter whose change necessitates the warm restart or the POWER ON.

• r2124 (alarm value) — read as a decimal to find the parameter number of the changed safety parameter behind this alarm.
• p0009 (device commissioning parameter filter) — set to 30 as part of the warm restart that makes the changed safety parameters effective.
• p0976 (reset and load all parameters) — set to 2 or 3 as part of the same warm restart.

The alarm needs no separate acknowledgement: it is resolved by making the changed parameters effective, i.e. by the warm restart (p0009 = 30, p0976 = 2 or 3) or by switching all components off and on again. If the drive is configured to output the condition as a fault, the manuals specify a POWER ON as the acknowledgement — the fault is cleared by switching the components off and on.
