A07998Drive: Motor data identification active on another drive

What it means

This alarm is issued while the motor data identification (parameters p1910 and p1960) is running on one drive object. While the identification is being executed, it interlocks the other drive objects so that they cannot be switched on. The alarm value names the drive object on which the identification is active. The alarm itself does not trip the drive and needs no acknowledgement.

Why it appears

  • The motor data identification is activated on the drive object given in the alarm value; as long as it runs, the other drive objects are interlocked and cannot be switched on.

What to check

  1. Read the alarm value in r2124 and interpret it as a decimal number — it is the number of the drive object on which the motor data identification is active.
  2. Wait for the complete execution of the motor data identification on that drive object.
  3. If the identification should be ended instead of completed, deselect it for the drive object designated in the alarm value by setting p1910 = 0 or p1960 = 0.

Reading the message value

  • The drive puts the alarm value in the message value; it is stored in r2124.
  • Interpreted as a decimal number, the value in r2124 is the drive object with the active motor data identification.

Parameters the manual names

  • r2124 (alarm value): read it as a decimal number to find the drive object on which the motor data identification is running.
  • p1910: set to 0 to deselect the motor data identification on the drive object named in the alarm value.
  • p1960: set to 0 for the same purpose — setting p1910 = 0 or p1960 = 0 ends the interlock.

Acknowledging and restarting

No acknowledgement is required for this alarm. The interlock ends once the motor data identification on the drive object named in the alarm value has completely finished, or when it is deselected there with p1910 = 0 or p1960 = 0; the interlocked drive objects can then be switched on again.

Questions technicians ask

What does alarm A07998 mean?

Motor data identification is being executed on one drive object, and it interlocks all other drive objects so that they cannot be switched on. The alarm value shows which drive object is running the identification.

How do I find out which drive object is carrying out the motor data identification?

Read the alarm value in r2124 and interpret it as a decimal number. It is the number of the drive object with the active motor data identification.

How do I clear A07998?

Either wait until the motor data identification on the drive object named in the alarm value has completely finished, or deselect it there by setting p1910 = 0 or p1960 = 0. No acknowledgement is needed.

Why can I not switch on my drive although the drive itself shows no other problem?

Another drive object is running motor data identification. Until it completes or is deselected with p1910 = 0 or p1960 = 0, the interlocked drive objects cannot be switched on.
