A07456 — EPOS: Setpoint velocity limited

A07456 is the alarm EPOS: Setpoint velocity limited. The EPOS function raises it when the currently active setpoint velocity is greater than the parameterized maximum velocity p2571. The drive then limits the setpoint velocity to this maximum and signals the limitation with this alarm — operation continues with the reduced velocity. The alarm is purely a notice that the velocity setpoint is being clipped to p2571.

• The setpoint velocity currently active in the EPOS function is greater than the parameterized maximum velocity p2571.
• Because of this, the drive limits the setpoint velocity to p2571 — the alarm reports exactly this limitation. The manuals for G130/G150 and S120/S150 describe this cause identically.

1. Check the entered setpoint velocity.
2. Reduce the velocity override (CI: p2646).
3. Increase the maximum velocity p2571.
4. Check the signal source for the externally limited velocity (CI: p2594).

• p2571 (EPOS maximum velocity, v_max): the maximum velocity the setpoint is compared against and limited to; increasing it is one of the manual's remedies when the higher setpoint velocity is intended.
• p2646 (CI: EPOS velocity override, v_over): the override acting on the EPOS setpoint velocity; reducing it brings the setpoint velocity back below the maximum.
• p2594 (CI: EPOS Maximum velocity externally limited, v_max ext lim): the signal source of the externally limited velocity; check it as the last step of the remedy.

No acknowledgement is required for this alarm. It goes away once its cause is removed, i.e. as soon as the setpoint velocity no longer exceeds p2571 — after the entered setpoint or the velocity override (p2646) has been reduced, the maximum velocity (p2571) has been increased, or the external velocity limitation (p2594) has been corrected.
