What it means
A07455 is an alarm from the EPOS positioning function. It is raised when the set maximum velocity p2571 is too high to calculate the modulo correction correctly. For a correct modulo correction, traveling at the maximum velocity for one positioning sampling time (p0115[5]) must cover at most the half modulo length. Because the set p2571 exceeded this, the drive limited p2571 to the permissible value, and the alarm reports this limiting.
Why it appears
- The maximum velocity p2571 is set too high to correctly calculate the modulo correction.
- Within the sampling time for positioning (p0115[5]), moving at the maximum velocity would cover more than the half modulo length.
- The drive has limited p2571 to this permissible value.
What to check
- Reduce the maximum velocity (p2571).
- Alternatively, or in addition, increase the sampling time for positioning (p0115[5]), so that the half modulo length is not exceeded within one sampling interval even at maximum velocity.
Parameters the manual names
- p2571 — EPOS maximum velocity (v_max): the value that is too high here and that the drive has limited; reducing it is the first remedy for this alarm.
- p0115[5] — sampling time for positioning (p0115 holds the sampling times for the supplementary functions): increasing it is the second remedy, because it raises the travel permitted per interval before the half modulo length is reached.
Acknowledging and restarting
No acknowledgement is required for this alarm, and the drive does not interrupt operation because of it. The alarm is dealt with through the parameterization itself: reduce p2571 or increase p0115[5] as described above.

Questions technicians ask
What does alarm A07455 mean?
It is reported by the EPOS function when the set maximum velocity p2571 is too high to calculate the modulo correction correctly. The drive has limited p2571 to the highest permissible value.
How do I clear A07455?
Reduce the maximum velocity p2571 or increase the sampling time for positioning p0115[5]. The condition is that, within one positioning sampling interval at maximum velocity, at most the half modulo length is moved through.
Does A07455 have to be acknowledged?
No acknowledgement is required, and the drive does not interrupt operation because of this alarm. It is resolved by correcting p2571 or p0115[5].
Which sampling time does A07455 refer to?
Index [5] of p0115, the sampling time for positioning among the supplementary-function sampling times held in p0115.
