A06215Infeed: Summation current too high

What it means

The infeed monitors the smoothed total of its phase currents (i1 + i2 + i3). A06215 appears when this total becomes greater than 3 % of the maximum power unit current (r0209). Possible backgrounds: a ground fault in the DC link that results in a high summation current, a zero point calibration of the current measurement that was not carried out, or defective current measurement in the power unit. Depending on the drive configuration, the same condition is not only raised as this alarm but can also be issued as a fault (F06215).

Why it appears

  • A ground fault in the DC link results in a high summation current (r0069.6). The manual warns: The DC component in the line currents can damage/destroy the power unit, line reactor or line filter!
  • The zero point calibration of the current measurement was not carried out — the drive references p3491 and alarm A06602 here.
  • The current measurement in the power unit is defective.

What to check

  1. Check the DC link for a low-ohmic or high-ohmic ground fault and, if one is present, remove it.
  2. Increase the monitoring time of the current offset measurement (p3491).
  3. Replace the power unit if necessary.

Reading the message value

  • Alarm value r2124 (floating point): the smoothed total of the phase currents — i.e. the value that exceeded 3 % of r0209.

Parameters the manual names

Acknowledging and restarting

As an alarm, A06215 needs no acknowledgement: it clears itself once the smoothed total of the phase currents drops back below 3 % of the maximum power unit current (r0209) — for example after the DC-link ground fault has been removed. Depending on the configuration, the drive can also raise the condition as fault F06215; the reaction to that fault is none by default, with OFF1 or OFF2 selectable, and the fault is acknowledged immediately — acknowledgement via POWER ON is also possible. Only in that fault variant is an acknowledgement needed before the infeed runs again.
