What it means
The infeed has detected a voltage dip or overvoltage in one or several line supply phases while the drive was in operation. The event is additionally displayed in status parameter r3405.2. Unless something else is stated for the respective alarm value, the pulses are inhibited for a minimum of 8 ms at the instant of the alarm; even for alarm values with pulse inhibit, the operating signal of the infeed remains in r0863.0. Depending on the drive configuration, the same condition can also be output as a fault (F).
Why it appears
- Voltage dip or overvoltage in one or several line supply phases, detected in operation.
- Which deviation actually tripped the alarm is shown by the set bits in the alarm value r2124. The reasons the manual names behind the individual bits are: a line supply fault, a poor or incorrect controller setting, poor line supply quality or frequent line supply changeover operations, an interrupted line, line overvoltage or undervoltage, an overload, an incorrect or missing line reactor (peak current event), and a supply/infeed overload or a fault in at least one line phase.
What to check
- These checks always apply when the alarm occurs: check the line supply, the terminals and the fuses.
- Check the line supply quality and the system fault level.
- Check the load.
- Read the alarm value in r2124 (interpret it bitwise binary) and continue according to the set bit:
- Bit 0 (line angle deviation): a line fault occurred or the controller setting is poor/incorrect. If the line quality is poor or line supply changeover operations are frequent, the limit value p3463 can be increased until the alarm value no longer occurs.
- Bit 2 (active current deviation): a line fault occurred or the controller setting is poor/incorrect — check the controller setting and the load.
- Bit 3 (line frequency deviation): a line fault occurred. For poor line quality or frequent line changeover operations, the limit values p0284 and p0285 can be increased until the alarm value no longer occurs.
- Bit 12 (line voltage deviation in the Extended Smart Mode): check the settings in p3444[2, 3].
- For the remaining bits of r2124 the manual gives no remedy beyond the general checks above.
Reading the message value
The drive writes the alarm value into r2124, which must be interpreted bitwise binary. The set bit tells you which deviation tripped the alarm:
- Bit 0: Line angle deviation due to a line supply fault (limit value p3463).
- Bit 2: Active current deviation.
- Bit 3: Line frequency deviation (limit values: 115 % * p0284, 85 % * p0285).
- Bit 4: Line overvoltage (limit value: 120 % * p0281 * p0210).
- Bit 5: Line undervoltage (limit value: 20 % * p0210).
- Bit 7: Peak current event.
- Bit 8: Line supply angle deviation identified in the Smart Mode (p3400.0 = 1); with Extended Smart Mode (p3440.1 = 1), pulses are not inhibited.
- Bit 9: DC link voltage dip identified in the Smart Mode (p3400.0 = 1).
- Bit 11: Line voltage detection error identified in the Smart Mode (p3400.0 = 1).
- Bit 12: Line voltage deviation identified in the Extended Smart Mode (p3400.0 = 1, p3440.1 = 1); pulses are not inhibited.
- Bit 14: Recharging current fault.
Parameters the manual names
- r2124 — alarm value: read it bitwise binary to determine which deviation raised the alarm; the further procedure depends on the set bit.
- p3463 — infeed phase failure detection line supply angle change: limit value for the line angle deviation (bit 0); increase it for poor line quality or frequent line supply changeover operations until the alarm value no longer occurs.
- p0284 — line supply frequency exceeded alarm threshold: enters the upper line frequency limit of bit 3 (115 % * p0284); can be increased for poor line quality or frequent line changeover operations.
- p0285 — line supply frequency undershot alarm threshold: enters the lower line frequency limit of bit 3 (85 % * p0285); can be increased together with p0284.
- p0281 — line supply overvoltage alarm threshold: enters the line overvoltage limit of bit 4 (120 % * p0281 * p0210).
- p0210 — drive unit line supply voltage: enters the overvoltage limit of bit 4 and the undervoltage limit of bit 5 (20 % * p0210).
- p3400 — infeed configuration word: bit 0 = 1 means the Smart Mode is active; the alarm values of bits 8, 9 and 11 refer to it.
- p3440 — Smart Mode configuration: bit 1 = 1 selects the Extended Smart Mode, in which pulses are not inhibited for the alarm values of bits 8 and 12.
- p3444 — Smart Mode voltages: check the settings in p3444[2, 3] when bit 12 is set.
Acknowledging and restarting
The condition is output as an alarm and can, depending on the drive configuration, also come as a fault (F). In the fault case, the message is acknowledged immediately with POWER ON. Eliminate the line supply problem first, complete the checks above, then acknowledge and restart the drive.
