A06260Infeed: Temperature in the line filter too high

What it means

A06260 reports that the temperature monitoring inside the line filter has responded. The manual restricts this function to an Active Interface Module (AIM): on other filter types the temperature monitoring does not exist. The alarm itself does not intervene in drive operation and does not need to be acknowledged, but if the excessive temperature persists over the complete monitoring time, the drive raises fault F06261 instead.

Why it appears

  • The temperature monitoring in the line filter has tripped because the filter has become too warm.
  • If the temperature remains too high for the whole monitoring time, the condition escalates into fault F06261.

What to check

  1. Compare the line filter type set in p0220[0] with the filter that is actually connected. Either connect the filter specified for the infeed in use, or correct the setting of the filter type in p0220[0].
  2. Temperature monitoring is mandatory for AIM line filters: make sure the filter's temperature switch is correctly and reliably wired to input X21 of the infeed.
  3. Reduce the ambient temperature around the line filter.
  4. Relieve the load on the infeed and on the filter module.
  5. Check how large the line supply voltage actually is.
  6. If the internal fan of the filter module is defective, replace the fan.
  7. If the temperature switch of the filter module is defective, replace the filter module.
