A06350Infeed: Measured line frequency too high

What it means

A06350 is raised by the infeed when the actual line frequency f_line measured there lies above the parameterized alarm threshold: the drive responds whenever f_line > p0211 * p0284. The alarm can appear in two operating states — during the switch-on phase of the infeed unit, or while the infeed is operational. In the second case the manual speaks of a critical operational fault. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can also be output as fault F06350.

Why it appears

  • The measured line frequency is above the parameterized alarm threshold: f_line > p0211 * p0284.
  • If the alarm appears during the switch-on phase of the infeed unit, synchronization of the infeed to the line supply is interrupted and is restarted. The alarm is reissued if the line frequency remains higher than the parameterized alarm threshold.
  • If it appears while the infeed is operational, the infeed remains in its operating state and alarm A06350 is output; the manual describes this as a critical operational fault.

What to check

  1. Check the parameterized line frequency and, if required, change it (p0211).
  2. Check the alarm threshold (p0284).
  3. Check the line supply.
  4. Check the line supply quality.

Reading the message value

  • The message value carries the measured line frequency and is displayed as "Line frequency: %1".
  • The alarm value r2124 (floating point) holds the actual line frequency the infeed has determined.

Parameters the manual names

  • p0211 — the parameterized line frequency of the infeed; check the setting and change it if required.
  • p0284 — Line supply frequency exceeded alarm threshold (f_l_exc A thr); together with p0211 it forms the limit f_line > p0211 * p0284, so check this threshold as well.
  • r2124 — Alarm value; read the actual line frequency determined for this alarm here (floating point).

Acknowledging and restarting

As an alarm, A06350 requires no acknowledgement. During the switch-on phase the infeed interrupts its synchronization to the line supply and restarts it; while the infeed is operational it stays in its operating state. The alarm is reissued if the line frequency remains higher than the parameterized alarm threshold. Where the configuration raises the same condition as fault F06350, the reaction is NONE (OFF1, OFF2) and the acknowledgement is IMMEDIATELY (POWER ON).

The same on every family

Every manual that describes A06350 gives it the same reaction, acknowledgement and message class.

Questions technicians ask

What does alarm A06350 mean in SINAMICS?

The infeed measures a line frequency above the parameterized alarm threshold: f_line > p0211 * p0284. When it occurs while the infeed is operational, the manual calls it a critical operational fault.

How do I clear A06350?

Check the parameterized line frequency (p0211) and change it if required, check the alarm threshold p0284, then check the line supply and the line supply quality.

Where can I see the measured line frequency that triggered A06350?

The message value shows it as "Line frequency: %1", and the alarm value r2124 holds the actual line frequency determined, as a floating-point number.

Does A06350 have to be acknowledged?

As an alarm it needs no acknowledgement and is simply reissued while the line frequency stays above the threshold. If the drive outputs the same condition as fault F06350, it is acknowledged IMMEDIATELY (POWER ON).
