A02150 — OA: Application cannot be loaded

A02150 appears when the system was not able to load an application or a technology extension. On the G130, G150, S120 and S150 the manual prints the title TEC: Technology Extension cannot be loaded; on the G120 and G120XA the same alarm number carries the title OA: Application cannot be loaded, where OA stands for Open Architecture. Which condition prevented the loading is reported as an alarm value in r2124, which the manual says to interpret hexadecimal. Abbreviations used below: TEC = Technology Extension, DCB = Drive Control Block, DCC = Drive Control Chart.

• The system was not able to load a Technology Extension (TEC variants on G130, G150, S120, S150) or an OA application (G120, G120XA).
• Alarm value 10 hex (16 dec): the interface version in the DCB user library is not compatible to the DCC standard library that has been loaded. The G120/G120XA manual prints this value simply as 16.
• Alarm value 12 hex (18 dec): a technology package was not able to be downloaded to a Control Unit because the required warm restart could not be performed. This value is listed for the TEC variants only.
• Every manual entry for this code adds the note: Only for internal Siemens troubleshooting.

1. Read the alarm value in r2124 (interpret hexadecimal) to see which condition is present.
2. For value 10 hex (16 dec) — printed as 16 on the G120/G120XA: load a DCB user library that is compatible to the interface of the DCC standard library that has been loaded.
3. For value 12 hex (18 dec): carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components.
4. The TEC variants additionally list a warm restart with p0009 = 30 and p0976 = 2 or 3.
5. Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components.
6. Upgrade the firmware to a later version.

• p0009 (device commissioning parameter filter): set to 30 as part of the warm restart listed for the TEC variants.
• p0976 (reset and load all parameters): set to 2 or 3, together with p0009 = 30, to carry out that warm restart.

No acknowledgement is required for this alarm. The manual describes no separate reset: clearing A02150 means removing the cause with the steps in the checklist above — loading a compatible DCB user library, a warm restart and/or a POWER ON of all components, a firmware upgrade — with contacting Technical Support as the remaining step it names.
