A02098 — MTrace 1: cannot be saved

A02098 (MTrace 1: cannot be saved) is raised when the drive cannot save the measurement results of a multiple trace from trace recorder 1 on the memory card; the multiple trace is then not started or is canceled. The alarm concerns the trace function only. An alarm value in r2124 tells which of the three saving problems occurred.

• The measurement results of a multiple trace on trace recorder 1 cannot be saved on the memory card, so the multiple trace is not started or is canceled.
• Which situation applies is stored as an alarm value in r2124 (interpret decimal): 1 — the memory card cannot be accessed; 3 — the data save operation is too slow; 4 — the data save operation was canceled.

1. Read the alarm value in r2124 (interpret decimal) to see which of the three situations applies.
2. Insert or remove the memory card.
3. Use a larger memory card.
4. Configure a longer trace time or use an endless trace.
5. Avoid saving parameters while a multiple trace is running.
6. Check whether other functions are presently accessing measurement result files.

• The drive stores an alarm value in r2124; interpret it decimal.
• 1: Memory card cannot be accessed — card is not inserted or is blocked by a mounted USB drive.
• 3: Data save operation too slow — a second trace has been completed before the measurement results of the first trace were able to be saved, or writing the measurement result files to the card is blocked by the parameter save.
• 4: Data save operation canceled — for instance, the file required for the data save operation was not able to be found.

This alarm needs no acknowledgement, so there is nothing to reset at the drive. Remove the cause — the memory card must be inserted and accessible, it must have enough capacity, and no parameter save or other function may block the measurement result files while the trace runs — and then start the multiple trace again.
