F07458 — EPOS: Reference cam not found

F07458 comes from the EPOS search for reference: after the search was started, the axis moved through the maximum permissible distance allowed for the search without actually finding the reference cam. The drive stops the axis, and the fault must be acknowledged immediately before a new search for reference can be started. The message carries no fault value, so there is no further decoding.

• After the search for reference was started, the axis moved through the maximum permissible distance to the reference cam without actually finding the reference cam.

1. Check the "reference cam" binector input (BI: p2612) — this is the signal through which the drive is told that the cam has been reached.
2. Check the maximum permissible distance to the reference cam (p2606); the search ends with this fault when the axis has covered this distance without the cam signal appearing.
3. If the axis does not have any reference cam, set p2607 to 0.

• p2612 (Ref_cam) — BI: EPOS search for reference reference cam; the binector input carrying the reference cam signal, checked first when the cam is not found.
• p2606 (Ref_cam max s) — EPOS search for reference reference cam maximum distance; the maximum distance the axis may cover during the search, checked against the real distance to the cam.
• p2607 (Ref_cam pres) — EPOS search for reference reference cam present; set to 0 when the axis has no reference cam at all.

Acknowledge the fault immediately once it has responded. After the cause has been corrected, start the search for reference again; as long as the cam signal is not found within the distance set in p2606, the fault will come back with the next search.
