What it means
F07411 is raised when the drive cannot build up the flux that has been commanded. For VECTOR drive objects (S120, S150, G130, G150) and on the G120 and G120XA the manual titles the fault Drive: Flux setpoint not reached when building up excitation
: when quick magnetizing is configured (p1401.6 = 1), the specified flux setpoint is not reached although 90% of the maximum current is specified. For SERVO drive objects (S120, S150) the same number appears as Drive: Flux controller output limited
: the specified flux setpoint cannot be reached although the set maximum field current is specified (p1603). The message value carries no further information.
Why it appears
The manuals describe the causes in one list for VECTOR drive objects and for the G120 and G120XA, and in a second list for SERVO drive objects; the lists are nearly identical and differ only in details:
- incorrect motor data;
- the motor data and the motor configuration (star-delta) do not match;
- the current limit has been set too low for the motor — on SERVO drive objects the manuals name p0640, p0323 and p1603;
- an induction motor (encoderless, open-loop controlled) is in I2t limiting;
- the Motor Module is too small — on the G120 and G120XA the manuals say the power unit is too small;
- for VECTOR drive objects and the G120 and G120XA additionally: the magnetizing time p0346 is too short.
What to check
- Correct the motor data; perform motor data identification and rotating measurement.
- Check the motor configuration (star-delta).
- Correct the current limits (p0640; on SERVO drive objects also p0323 and p1603).
- Reduce the load of the induction motor (encoderless, open-loop controlled).
- If required, use a larger Motor Module — on the G120 and G120XA a larger power unit.
- Check the motor supply cable.
- Check the power unit.
- Increase the magnetizing time p0346.
For SERVO drive objects the manual's remedy ends with the larger Motor Module; the last three steps belong to the excitation variant on VECTOR drive objects and on the G120 and G120XA.
Parameters the manual names
- p1401 — flux control configuration: bit 6 enables quick magnetizing (p1401.6 = 1); the excitation variant of this fault presupposes this setting.
- p0346 — the magnetizing time: increase it when the flux setpoint is not reached while excitation is being built up.
- p0640 — current limit: correct it when it has been set too low for the connected motor.
- p0323 — maximum motor current: on SERVO drive objects it belongs, together with p0640 and p1603, to the current limits to be corrected.
- p1603 — field-generating current maximum (Id max): on SERVO drive objects the flux setpoint must be reached with this maximum field current; correct it together with the other current limits.
Acknowledging and restarting
Acknowledge the fault immediately (the acknowledgement class is IMMEDIATELY) once its cause has been eliminated. Because the reaction trips the drive with OFF2, the motor coasts down and the drive does not restart until the fault has been acknowledged; after acknowledgement the drive can be switched on again.
What differs between the drive families
Straight from the manuals' own fields — F07411 is not described identically everywhere.

Questions technicians ask
What does SINAMICS fault F07411 mean?
The drive cannot build up the commanded flux: with quick magnetizing configured (p1401.6 = 1), the specified flux setpoint is not reached although 90% of the maximum current is specified. On SERVO drive objects the same fault is titled flux controller output limited.
How do I fix fault F07411?
Correct the motor data (motor data identification and rotating measurement), check the star-delta motor configuration, correct the current limits p0640 — on SERVO drive objects also p0323 and p1603 — reduce the induction motor load, use a larger Motor Module or power unit if required, and increase the magnetizing time p0346.
Why does F07411 trip during magnetizing?
Because the flux setpoint is not reached within the magnetizing time p0346 even though 90% of the maximum current is specified — typically due to incorrect motor data, a star-delta mismatch, a too low current limit, I2t limiting of an encoderless open-loop-controlled induction motor, or a Motor Module or power unit that is too small.
Which parameters belong to fault F07411?
p1401 (bit 6 configures quick magnetizing), p0346 (magnetizing time) and p0640 (current limit); on SERVO drive objects also p0323 (maximum motor current) and p1603 (field-generating current maximum).
