F01800 — DRIVE-CLiQ: Hardware/configuration error

F01800 is raised when the drive detects a fault on its DRIVE-CLiQ wiring or configuration. The drive writes a fault value to r0949 — to be read as a decimal number — which distinguishes the individual cases: a DRIVE-CLiQ socket that has not entered cyclic operation (100 ... 107), a lost connection (10), repeated faults while detecting the connection (11), or a node whose ID exchange mechanism fails (12). Depending on the drive configuration, the same condition can also be signaled as an alarm.

• Values 100 ... 107: the DRIVE-CLiQ socket concerned (X100 ... X107) never entered cyclic operation — either the bus structure is built incorrectly or the configuration demands a bus timing that cannot be achieved.
• Value 10: the DRIVE-CLiQ connection dropped out, typically because a cable was withdrawn from the Control Unit or because of a short-circuit on a motor equipped with DRIVE-CLiQ.
• Value 11: while the drive was detecting its DRIVE-CLiQ connections, faults kept recurring.
• Value 12: although a connection was detected, the node ID exchange mechanism does not work — the component involved is probably defective.

1. Read the fault value in r0949 (interpret it as a decimal number) to determine which of the cases below applies.
2. For values 100 ... 107: ensure that all DRIVE-CLiQ components carry the same firmware versions, and avoid longer topologies when the current controller clock cycle (sampling time) is short.
3. For value 10: check the DRIVE-CLiQ cables at the Control Unit, remove any short-circuit on motors with DRIVE-CLiQ, then carry out a POWER ON.
4. For value 11: check the electrical cabinet design and the cable routing for EMC compliance.
5. For value 12: replace the component involved.

• 100 ... 107 — communication via DRIVE-CLiQ socket X100 ... X107 has not been switched to cyclic operation; the cause may be an incorrect structure or a configuration that results in an impossible bus timing.
• 10 — loss of the DRIVE-CLiQ connection, for example because the DRIVE-CLiQ cable was withdrawn from the Control Unit or as a result of a short-circuit for motors with DRIVE-CLiQ. This fault can only be acknowledged in cyclic communication.
• 11 — repeated faults when detecting the connection; this fault can also only be acknowledged in cyclic communication.
• 12 — a connection was detected, but the node ID exchange mechanism does not function; the component is probably defective. This fault likewise only clears in cyclic communication.

• r0949 — displays the fault value of F01800; read it as a decimal number to identify the failed DRIVE-CLiQ socket (100 ... 107 = X100 ... X107), a lost connection (10), recurring faults during connection detection (11) or a failed node ID exchange (12).

Acknowledge the fault immediately; the specified acknowledgement is POWER ON, i.e. switch the drive off and on again. For fault values 10, 11 and 12 the drive only accepts the acknowledgement in cyclic communication, so the DRIVE-CLiQ connection must be working again first — the remedy for a lost connection (fault value 10) therefore ends with a POWER ON. If the drive is configured to signal this condition as an alarm, no acknowledgement is required.
