A31432Encoder 1: Rotor position adaptation corrects deviation

What it means

On track A/B of Encoder 1, pulses have been lost or too many have been counted. The rotor position adaptation is presently correcting these pulses, so the alarm reports a correction that is under way; the drive itself takes no automatic action. The alarm value in r2124 shows how far the counted position deviated from the zero mark at the last measurement. Depending on the drive configuration, the same condition can also be issued as a fault (F) or without reaction (N).

Why it appears

  • Pulses on track A/B have been lost or too many have been counted.
  • The pulses concerned are presently being corrected by the rotor position adaptation.

What to check

  1. Check that the encoder cables are routed in compliance with EMC.
  2. Check the plug connections.
  3. Replace the encoder or the encoder cable.
  4. Check the encoder limit frequency.
  5. Adapt the parameter for the distance between zero marks (p0424, p0425).
