A07350Drive: Measuring probe parameterized to a digital output

What it means

A07350 appears when a measuring probe is wired to a bi-directional digital input/output (DI/DO) while that terminal is configured as an output. The message points at the terminal configuration: the terminal the probe uses is set to the wrong direction, and the remedy is to change the terminal direction or to remove the probe from the parameterization. Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be issued as a fault.

Why it appears

  • The measuring probe is connected to a bi-directional digital input/output (DI/DO) and the terminal is set as an output.

What to check

  1. Set the affected terminal as an input (p0728).
  2. If the measuring probe is not needed, de-select it instead — via p0488 (measuring probe 1 input terminal), p0489 (measuring probe 2 input terminal) and p0580 (measuring probe input terminal).

Reading the message value

  • The message value is the alarm value; the drive stores it in r2124 and it must be interpreted as a decimal number. The value identifies the DI/DO terminal that is set as an output although the measuring probe is connected to it:
  • 8: DI/DO 8 (X122.9/X132.1)
  • 9: DI/DO 9 (X122.10/X132.2)
  • 10: DI/DO 10 (X122.12/X132.3)
  • 11: DI/DO 11 (X122.13/X132.4)
  • 12: DI/DO 12 (X132.9)
  • 13: DI/DO 13 (X132.10)
  • 14: DI/DO 14 (X132.12)
  • 15: DI/DO 15 (X132.13)
  • Regarding the terminal designation: the first designation is valid for CU320, the second for CU305.

Parameters the manual names

  • r2124 — alarm value; read it as a decimal number to identify the DI/DO terminal that triggered this alarm.
  • p0728 — sets the CU terminal as input or output; use it here to set the probe terminal as an input.
  • p0488 — measuring probe 1 input terminal; de-select measuring probe 1 here if the probe is not used.
  • p0489 — measuring probe 2 input terminal; de-select measuring probe 2 here if the probe is not used.
  • p0580 — measuring probe input terminal (MT input terminal); de-select the measuring probe here if it is not used.

Acknowledging and restarting

Clear the alarm by correcting the parameterization: set the terminal as an input (p0728) or de-select the measuring probe (p0488, p0489, p0580). If the drive is configured to issue this condition as a fault, the drive executes OFF1, and the fault must be acknowledged IMMEDIATELY.

Questions technicians ask

What does alarm A07350 mean on a SINAMICS drive?

A measuring probe is connected to a bi-directional digital input/output (DI/DO) whose terminal is currently configured as an output.

How do I fix alarm A07350?

Set the terminal as an input with p0728, or de-select the measuring probe via p0488, p0489 and p0580 if the probe is not needed.

Which terminal triggers A07350?

The alarm value stored in r2124, read as a decimal number, names it — for example 8 means DI/DO 8, terminal X122.9 on a CU320 or X132.1 on a CU305.

Does A07350 stop the drive?

As a plain alarm it triggers no automatic response from the drive. If the drive is configured to raise the condition as a fault, it executes OFF1 and the fault must be acknowledged IMMEDIATELY.
