What it means
A07351 is raised when a measuring probe is wired to one of the bi-directional digital input/outputs (DI/DO) of the Power Module while that terminal is configured as an output. Because the terminal is currently an output, it cannot serve as the probe's input, so the drive signals the conflicting parameterization. Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be output as the fault F07351; the drive then reacts with OFF1.
Why it appears
- A measuring probe is connected to a bi-directional digital input/output whose terminal is currently set as an output.
What to check
- Set the affected terminal as an input using p4028.
- Alternatively, deselect the measuring probe if it is not to be used — this is done at p0488 (probe 1) or p0489 (probe 2).
Reading the message value
- The drive writes the alarm value to r2124; interpret it as a decimal number.
- 0: DI/DO 0 distributed (X3.2)
- 1: DI/DO 1 distributed (X3.4)
Parameters the manual names
- r2124 (alarm value): read the alarm value here to identify which DI/DO terminal is affected.
- p4028 (set input or output / DI or DO): use it to reconfigure the affected terminal from output to input.
- p0488 (measuring probe 1 input terminal): one of the two parameters at which the measuring probe is deselected, in this case probe 1.
- p0489 (measuring probe 2 input terminal): one of the two parameters at which the measuring probe is deselected, in this case probe 2.
Acknowledging and restarting
This message needs no acknowledgement: as an alarm it does not trigger any drive reaction and disappears once the terminal has been set as an input (p4028) or the measuring probe has been deselected (p0488, p0489). If the condition is configured as the fault F07351 instead, the drive reacts with OFF1.
The same on every family
Every manual that describes A07351 gives it the same reaction, acknowledgement and message class.

Questions technicians ask
What does alarm A07351 mean on a SINAMICS drive?
A measuring probe is connected to one of the Power Module's bi-directional digital input/outputs, but that terminal is set as an output. The alarm value in r2124 shows which terminal: 0 = DI/DO 0 distributed (X3.2), 1 = DI/DO 1 distributed (X3.4).
How do I clear alarm A07351?
Set the terminal as an input with p4028, or deselect the measuring probe at p0488 / p0489 if it is not required. The alarm needs no acknowledgement and goes once the parameterization is corrected.
Which terminal does A07351 refer to?
The alarm value in r2124, interpreted as a decimal, identifies it: 0 means the distributed DI/DO 0 at terminal X3.2, and 1 means the distributed DI/DO 1 at terminal X3.4.
Can A07351 also appear as a fault?
Yes. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can be output as the fault F07351, and the drive then reacts with OFF1.
