A01317Deactivated component again present

What it means

A01317 is issued when a component belonging to the target topology of an active drive object is inserted (is physically present) while the parameter associated with that component is set to "deactivate" — p0125 for power unit components, p0145 for the encoder interface, p0155 for the Voltage Sensing Module (VSM) and p0165 for the filter module (FM). The manual stresses that This is the only message that is displayed for a deactivated component. Depending on the drive configuration, the same condition can also be output without a reaction (N). The alarm only reports the configuration situation; the drive itself takes no action, and the alarm clears itself once the situation is resolved.

Why it appears

  • A component of the target topology for an active drive object has been inserted while the parameter associated with that component is set to "deactivate" (p0125, p0145, p0155 or p0165).

What to check

  1. Determine which component was inserted and which parameter currently deactivates it: p0125 (power unit components), p0145 (encoder interface), p0155 (Voltage Sensing Module) or p0165 (filter module).
  2. Either activate the components involved again by setting the relevant parameter to 1 (p0125 = 1, p0145 = 1, p0155 = 1, p0165 = 1) — the alarm then disappears automatically.
  3. Or withdraw the inserted component again (remove it), which also withdraws the alarm automatically.

Parameters the manual names

  • p0125 — Activate/deactivate power unit components: set to 1 to activate the inserted power unit component again and clear the alarm for it.
  • p0145 — Activate/deactivate encoder interface: set to 1 to activate the inserted encoder interface again.
  • p0155 — Voltage Sensing Module activate/deactivate: set to 1 to activate the inserted VSM again.
  • p0165 — Activate/deactivate filter module: set to 1 to activate the inserted filter module (FM) again.

Acknowledging and restarting

No acknowledgement is required. The alarm is withdrawn automatically as soon as you either activate the component involved (set the matching parameter to 1) or withdraw the inserted component again.

Questions technicians ask

What does alarm A01317 mean on a SINAMICS G130, G150, S120 or S150?

A component of the target topology for an active drive object is inserted while the parameter that deactivates it — p0125, p0145, p0155 or p0165 — is still set accordingly. The drive is telling you that a deactivated component is present again.

How do I clear A01317?

Set the parameter belonging to the inserted component to 1 to activate it again, or withdraw the component once more. The alarm then disappears automatically; no acknowledgement is needed.

Does A01317 stop the drive?

No. The drive takes no action on this alarm; it only signals the configuration situation, and depending on the setting it can also appear simply as a message without a reaction.

Which parameters belong to A01317?

p0125 (power unit components), p0145 (encoder interface), p0155 (Voltage Sensing Module) and p0165 (filter module). The one matching the inserted component is the one to change.
