A01314Topology: Component must not be present

What it means

A01314 (“Topology: Component must not be present”) is raised when a component has been configured with the setting “deactivate and not present”, but the drive still finds this component in the topology. In other words, the configured picture of the drive and the components that are actually present do not agree.

Why it appears

  • A component has been set to “deactivate and not present”, but this component is still in the topology.

What to check

  1. Read the alarm value in r2124 (see below) to identify the component concerned: the component number, its component class and the connection number. The component class and the connection number are described in F01375.
  2. Either remove the corresponding component, or change the setting “deactivate and not present” for this component so that the configuration matches the actual topology again. The relevant activate/deactivate parameter depends on the component and is listed below.
  3. Under “Topology --> Topology view”, the commissioning tool where relevant offers improved diagnostics capability, for example a setpoint/actual value comparison.

Reading the message value

  • The alarm value is stored in r2124 and must be interpreted hexadecimal; its layout is ddccbbaa hex:
  • aa = component number
  • bb = component class of the component
  • cc = connection number

  • r2124 (Alarm value) — read the alarm value here, interpreted hexadecimal, to obtain the component number, the component class and the connection number of the component that must not be present.
  • p0105 (Activate/deactivate drive object, DO act/deact) — here the “deactivate and not present” setting is made for a drive object.

  • p0145 (Activate/deactivate encoder interface, Enc_intf act/deact) — the same setting for the encoder interface.

Acknowledging and restarting

The alarm needs no acknowledgement, and the drive takes no automatic action in response to it. Once you have removed the component or changed its “deactivate and not present” setting so that the topology matches the configuration again, the message clears without any further step.
