F37885 — HF Damping Module (CU): Cyclic data transmission error

F37885 is raised when cyclic DRIVE-CLiQ data transmission between the HF Damping Module and the Control Unit (CU) fails: the two nodes do not send and receive in synchronism. The fault value stored with the message identifies the component involved and the concrete fault cause.

1. Check the supply voltage of the component involved — the HF Damping Module.
2. Carry out a POWER ON.
3. Replace the component involved.

The message value combines the component number (%1) and the fault cause (%2). In r0949 / r2124 the information is coded as 0000yyxx hex, where yy = component number and xx = error cause. The manual lists the following fault causes for this code:

• 26 (= 1A hex): sign-of-life bit in the receive telegram not set and the receive telegram is too early.
• 33 (= 21 hex): the cyclic telegram has not been received.
• 34 (= 22 hex): timeout in the telegram receive list.
• 64 (= 40 hex): timeout in the telegram send list.
• 98 (= 62 hex): error at the transition to cyclic operation.

• r0949 (fault value): shows the fault value of F37885 in the coded form 0000yyxx hex, so the component number and the fault cause can be read from it.
• r2124 (alarm value): the value the manual names alongside r0949, in which the same coded information for this message can be read.

The restart is part of the remedy itself: once the supply voltage of the component involved has been checked, a POWER ON is carried out. If this does not clear the fault, the component involved is replaced. The manual names no further acknowledgement steps for this fault.
