Why it appears
- The DRIVE-CLiQ link from the Sensor Module involved (encoder 3) to the Control Unit has been disturbed by a communication error.
- The DRIVE-CLiQ component did not set the sign-of-life to the Control Unit — the sign-of-life bit in the receive telegram is not set, which the drive reports as fault cause 10.
What to check
- Bring the firmware of the component involved up to date.
- Carry out a POWER ON for the component involved: switch the affected component off and then on again.

- The drive puts two pieces of information into the message value: the component number and the fault cause. In the fault value r0949 (or the alarm value r2124) this is coded as 0000yyxx hex, where yy = component number and xx = error cause.
- For this code the error cause is 10: the sign-of-life bit in the receive telegram is not set.
