F06505 — Infeed: For transformer magnetization current limit exceeded

F06505 is raised by the infeed when the current limit is exceeded while the transformer is being magnetized. The manual expresses the condition as r0068 > p5494[1] * r0207 — the actual value r0068 has risen above the scaling value p5494[1] multiplied by the rated power unit current r0207. The code is described for the infeeds of SINAMICS S120 and S150.

• The current limit was exceeded when magnetizing the transformer: r0068 climbed above the limit p5494[1] * r0207 that the drive applies during magnetization.

1. Confirm that the current limit p5494[1] is set appropriately.
2. Look for a short-circuit on the primary side of the transformer.
3. Check the circuit breaker — how it is controlled and what feedback signal it returns.

• p5494 — transformer magnetization scaling values; p5494[1] is the scaling value behind the magnetization current limit, and its setting is the first thing to check for this fault.
• r0207 — rated power unit current; together with p5494[1] it forms the limit the drive compares against while the transformer is magnetized.
• r0068 — the actual value that raises this fault as soon as it exceeds p5494[1] * r0207 during transformer magnetization.

When the fault occurs, the infeed is taken offline with OFF1 (OFF2 as an alternative). After the cause has been corrected, acknowledge the fault — immediately, or after switching the supply off and on again, depending on the configuration — and restart the infeed.
