F02152 — OA: Insufficient memory

The Control Unit does not have enough memory for the functions configured on it: the drive raises F02152 when too many functions have been configured — for example too many drives, function modules, data sets, blocks, Technology Extensions (TEC) or OA applications. On Control Units that use Technology Extensions the code is titled 'TEC: insufficient memory'; on the G120/G120XA, where the equivalent items are the Open Architecture applications, it is titled 'OA: Insufficient memory'. The drive's configuration decides whether the condition appears as a fault or as an alarm (A); as an alarm it triggers no reaction and needs no acknowledgment.

• Too many functions have been configured on this Control Unit — e.g. too many drives, function modules, data sets and blocks.
• Which extra functions are counted depends on the Control Unit: on drives with Technology Extensions, the configured Technology Extensions (TEC) belong to the list; on the G120/G120XA, the OA (Open Architecture) applications do.

1. Read the fault value in r0949 and interpret it as a decimal number; the manual reserves this value for internal Siemens troubleshooting, so it is mainly useful when working with support.
2. Change the configuration on this Control Unit so that fewer functions are configured: fewer drives, function modules, data sets and blocks.
3. On a Control Unit with Technology Extensions, configure fewer Technology Extensions (TEC); on the G120/G120XA, configure fewer OA applications.
4. If the configured functions are all genuinely required, use an additional Control Unit.

The drive stops with OFF1. The fault is acknowledged immediately, and a POWER ON — the power supply must be switched off and on again — is additionally required before the drive can run again. Apply the remedy (a reduced configuration or an additional Control Unit) before returning the drive to service.
