F01200 — CU: Time slice management internal software error

The Control Unit (CU) raises F01200 — CU: Time slice management internal software error — when its time slice management detects an internal software error. The manuals tie this to the sampling time configuration: the sampling times may have been set inadmissibly, and too many different sampling times may have been set. The available time slices can also be used up, either by technology functions (e.g. DCC) or by the basic system itself. The drive coasts down when the fault trips and will only start again after the power supply has been switched off and on again. Which of these situations applies is recorded as a hexadecimal fault value in r0949.

• The Control Unit (CU) has detected an internal error in its time slice management.

1. Read the fault value in r0949 (interpret hexadecimal) to see whether technology functions or the basic system have occupied too many time slices.
2. Check the sampling time setting in p0112, p0115, p4099, p9500 and p9511 — too many different sampling times may have been set.

The drive stores the fault value in r0949; the manual specifies interpreting it in hexadecimal.

The fault is acknowledged immediately, and this acknowledgement takes the form of a power cycle: switch the power supply off and then on again before the drive will run. The drive coasts down while the fault is active. Before restarting, review the sampling time settings listed above; Technical Support is the manual's second remedy step.
