What it means
F01070 is not a hardware fault. The manuals print it as Project/firmware is being downloaded to the memory card
: an upgrade — a project or firmware download — was initiated on the memory card, and the drive reports the running update with this code. While the fault is present, the update takes place with plausibility and consistency checks; after this, depending on the command option, a new boot (reset) for the Control Unit is initiated. The G130, G150, S120 and S150 manuals describe the code in the same words.
Why it appears
- An upgrade (project/firmware download) was initiated on the memory card.
What to check
- Leave the Control Unit switched on.
During the upgrade and while this fault is present, it is not permissible to switch off the Control Unit.
- Wait for the upgrade to finish; no remedy is necessary. The update runs with plausibility and consistency checks, and the fault then withdraws itself.
- Only if the operation is interrupted despite this warning: the file system on the memory card can be destroyed. The memory card will then no longer work properly and must be repaired.
Acknowledging and restarting
Nothing has to be acknowledged by hand. The manual's remedy reads: Not necessary. The fault is automatically withdrawn after the upgrade has been completed.
Depending on the command option, the Control Unit then boots again. Until the upgrade has finished, keep the Control Unit powered: an interruption can destroy the file system on the memory card, and the memory card will then no longer work properly and must be repaired.
