What it means

A33463 is reported by Encoder 3 when the position value of the connected analog sensor leaves the permissible range of -0.5 ... +0.5. It is an alarm: the drive does not react to it automatically, and depending on the drive configuration the same condition can also be output as a message with no reaction. Which source supplied the out-of-range value is stored as an alarm value in r2124.

Why it appears

  • The position value of the analog sensor connected to Encoder 3 has exceeded the permissible range of -0.5 ... +0.5. The alarm value indicates whether the value came from the LVDT sensor or from the encoder characteristic.

What to check

  1. Read the alarm value in r2124 and interpret it as a decimal number to see which source delivered the out-of-range position value.
  2. For alarm value = 1: check the LVDT ratio (p4678).
  3. For alarm value = 1: check the reference signal connection at track B.
