תיאור

האלמנט העיקרי של מד מפלס הזכוכית הוא גוף המד. בתוך גוף המד משולבים תעלת הנוזל (אם נדרש גם תעלת החימום) וכן משטחי הישיבה לאטמי התאים ולמשקפי ההתבוננות.

על גוף המד מותקנים, או שכבר משולבים בו, ראשי השסתומים וחיבורי התהליך. אפשריים גם ניקוז או אוורור.

גרסה קומפקטית עם חלקי צד, דגם LGG-E

הזכוכיות ו/או מגני המיקה וכן האטמים מותקנים, מקובעים ואטומים בעזרת ברגי U וכיסויים או מסגרות לחץ. נעשה שימוש בזכוכית בורוסיליקט בהתאם ל-DIN 7081.

לקיטור ניתן להשתמש בזכוכיות עד 243 °C [469.4 °F], עם תכנון מיקה עד 300 °C [572 °F]. עבור מדיות אחרות, ניתן להגיע לטמפרטורות עד 300 °C, ובמקרים מיוחדים עד 374 °C [705.2 °F]. השימוש במיקה נדרש ליישומים מסוימים.
