The power supply measuring module is an option for measuring and correcting the supply voltage.

The NE 724 is inserted into the enclosure of the ZA 724 central interface module. The slot is located in the busbar area. If the NE 724 is not used, the opening is closed with the busbar cover. When using the power supply measuring module, the cover provides protection against accidental contact.

Supply voltage compensation

This function is required if the output power is to be automatically corrected in the case of highly fluctuating power supplies.

To implement this function, an NE 724 power supply measuring module must be at least inserted in the case of a ZA 724 central interface module in a network with several HS 724i heater controls.

The correction factors are calculated and passed on to the PROFIBUS DP master.

The DP master distributes these values to all HS 724i DP slaves.

Voltage measurement for power calculation

This function is required if several consumers are connected in parallel at the outputs and the failure of a single consumer is to be detected.

An NE 724 is required for each ZA 724 in order to implement this function.

Note: Central interface modules are only supplied without power supply measuring. If you wish to compensate variations in the power supply, you must order the two modules (NE 724 and ZA 724) and connect them.
