The SM 724i current measuring module is an option for diagnostics using current measurements, and is connected to the LA 724i SSR power output module.
The module is required when heat emitters are connected in parallel and failure of a single heat emitter is to be detected using a current measurement.
Installation is in the control cabinet on a stable mounting surface (recommended) or on a DIN rail.

Note on cable to be used between LA 724i SSR and SM 724i
It is recommendable to use a 3 x 2-core cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm2 whose cores are twisted together in pairs. It is not necessary to use a shielded cable.
