The OptiView Touchscreen Control Center shows Motor - Lack of bearing oil change, listed among the safety fault messages. The control center documentation also prints the same message as Motor - Lack of Bearing Oil Change. It appears in place of the earlier warning Warning - Motor - Oil change required, which the manual states this safety fault replaces.

The message indicates that the motor lubrication is overdue: the auto lube type is sleeve and the operating hours since the last motor lubrication have reached 6,000 hours or more. When the Shutdowns setting is set to enabled, the condition is treated as a safety fault with this message displayed, and This shuts down the chiller until the motor lubrication is performed and acknowledged. The manual also notes that the warning Warning - Motor - Oil change required is replaced by this safety fault message when the operating hours since last motor lubrication exceed the set hours plus 1,000.

• Auto lube type is sleeve and the operating hours since last motor lubrication are greater than or equal to 6,000 hours.

1. Read the operating hours since last motor lubrication on the control center and compare them with the 6,000-hour point at which this safety fault is raised.
2. Check that the auto lube type is set to sleeve, since this message applies to the sleeve auto lube type.
3. Open the Motor Lubrication Screen and read the display-only fields: Date of Last Motor Lubrication Warning or Fault, Date of Last Motor Lubrication, Time of Last Motor Lubrication, and Operator Initials at Last Motor Lubrication.
4. Perform the motor lubrication — the chiller stays shut down until the lubrication has been performed and acknowledged.

• Auto lube type — the message applies when the auto lube type is sleeve.
• 6,000 hours — the safety fault appears when the operating hours since last motor lubrication are greater than or equal to 6,000 hours.
• Set hours plus 1,000 — the manual states that the warning Warning - Motor - Oil change required is replaced by this safety fault message once the operating hours since last motor lubrication exceed the set hours plus 1,000.
• Shutdowns setting — when set to enabled, the condition is treated as a safety fault with this message displayed and the chiller shut down.

The safety shutdown remains in effect until the motor lubrication is performed and the event is acknowledged. Press the Clear button next to the listed event on the Systems Details Screen, then enter your initials, name, or user ID using the Motor Lube Acknowledge key on the Motor Lubrication Screen; the entry is 3 to 8 characters. The date and time of this entry is automatically logged as the date of last motor lubrication and time of last motor lubrication, the operator initials are recorded, and the operating hours since last lubrication are reset to zero. The date of the last motor lubrication warning or safety shutdown is shown in the Date of Last Motor Lubrication Warning or Fault field.
