F30896 — Power unit DRIVE-CLiQ (CU): Inconsistent component properties

F30896 tells you that a power unit connected over DRIVE-CLiQ no longer has the properties that were present for this component when the drive booted — the properties have changed in an incompatible fashion, so the drive cannot simply continue operating with the component as it now finds it. The fault value names the component concerned. The condition typically appears after a DRIVE-CLiQ cable or a DRIVE-CLiQ component on the power unit has been replaced. The drive trips and the fault must be acknowledged before it will restart. The manuals that describe this code for the S120/S150 and for the G130/G150 give the same cause and the same remedy, so everything below applies to all of these families.

• The properties of the DRIVE-CLiQ component (the power unit) named in the fault value have changed in an incompatible fashion with respect to the properties present when the drive booted.
• One cause given as an example: a DRIVE-CLiQ cable or a DRIVE-CLiQ component has been replaced.

1. Read the fault value in r0949 (interpreted as a decimal number) to identify which power unit component the drive considers changed.
2. Carry out a POWER ON — switch the converter's power supply off and back on.
3. If a component has been replaced, make sure the new component is of the same component type and, if possible, the same firmware version as the one it replaced.
4. If a cable has been replaced, use a cable of the same length as, or as close as possible to, the original cable, and ensure compliance with the maximum cable length.

• The message value is the component number; the drive prints it as Component number: %1.
• The drive stores the number of the affected DRIVE-CLiQ power unit component in the fault value r0949 — interpret the value as a decimal number.
• The manuals give no bit decoding for this value: the whole decimal value is the component number.

• r0949 — the fault value of the raised message; for F30896 read it here as a decimal number to obtain the component number of the power unit whose properties have changed.

The fault may be acknowledged immediately, with no waiting time. Acknowledging alone does not remove the cause: restore a consistent configuration first (same component type and firmware version after a component replacement, a cable of the same or nearly the same length after a cable replacement) and then carry out the POWER ON that the remedy prescribes — switch the converter's power supply off and on again.
