F07090Drive: Upper torque limit less than the lower torque limit

What it means

F07090 is raised when the drive detects that its upper torque limit is smaller than its lower torque limit: the value interconnected to p1522 — the upper, motoring limit — is lower than the value interconnected to p1523 — the lower, regenerative limit. The condition disappears as soon as the upper limit is at least as large as the lower one.

Why it appears

  • The upper torque limit is lower than the lower torque limit — the signal connected to p1522 carries a smaller value than the signal connected to p1523.

What to check

  1. Determine which signal is interconnected to p1522; the manual calls this signal P1 in its remedy.
  2. Determine which signal is interconnected to p1523; this is P2.
  3. Correct the settings so that P1 is >= P2, i.e. the signal at p1522 is always at least as large as the signal at p1523.

Parameters the manual names

  • p1522 — input for the upper (motoring) torque limit; the signal interconnected here is P1 and must carry the larger value.
  • p1523 — input for the lower (regenerative) torque limit; the signal interconnected here is P2 and must not be larger than P1.

Acknowledging and restarting

The fault is cleared by correcting the settings, not by acknowledging alone: make the signal at p1522 greater than or equal to the signal at p1523. Once the upper torque limit is no longer below the lower one, acknowledge the fault — this can be done immediately — and restart the drive.

Questions technicians ask

What does fault F07090 mean?

It means the drive's upper torque limit is lower than its lower torque limit — the value interconnected to p1522 is smaller than the value interconnected to p1523.

How do I fix F07090?

Check the signals interconnected to p1522 and p1523 and make sure the signal at p1522 (P1) is greater than or equal to the signal at p1523 (P2). Then acknowledge the fault.

Which parameters belong to F07090?

p1522, the input for the upper (motoring) torque limit, and p1523, the input for the lower (regenerative) torque limit.

Can F07090 be acknowledged right away?

Once the two torque limits have been put in the correct order, the fault can be acknowledged immediately and the drive restarted.
