C30712 — SI Motion P2: Defect in F-IO processing

C30712 is a safety message of the SI Motion P2 functions. When the drive cross-checks and compares its two monitoring channels, it has detected a difference between parameters or between the results of the F-IO processing and has therefore initiated STOP F. One of the monitoring functions no longer reliably functions, i.e. safe operation is no longer possible.

Together with this message the drive also displays safety message C30711 with message value 0 because STOP F was initiated. If at least one monitoring function is active, safety message C30701 SI Motion: STOP B initiated is output after the parameterized timer has expired.

• Cross checking and comparing of the two monitoring channels revealed a difference between parameters or between the results of the F-IO processing.
• As a result of this difference the drive initiated STOP F: one of the monitoring functions no longer reliably functions, so safe operation is no longer possible.

1. Check the parameterization in the parameters involved and correct it if required.
2. Ensure equality by copying the SI data to the second channel — the G120 manual phrases this as copying the SI data to processor 2 — and then carry out an acceptance test.
3. Check the monitoring clock cycle for equality (p9500, p9300): the S120/S150 and G130/G150 manuals list this step for the clock cycles of the Control Unit (p9500) and the Motor Module (p9300); the G120 remedy ends with the copy and the acceptance test.

• The message value contains the number of the cross-compared data that resulted in this message.
• Interpret the value as a decimal number: it is read in r9749 on S120, S150, G130 and G150, and in r2124 on G120.
• The manual refers to safety message C01712 for the description of the message values; that description is not repeated with this code.

• r9749 (SI message value) — on S120, S150, G130 and G150 the drive enters the number of the cross-compared data that caused C30712 here; read it and interpret it decimal.
• r2124 (alarm value) — on G120 the message value of this safety message is read here, interpreted as a decimal number.
• p9500 (SI Motion monitoring clock cycle, Control Unit) — check this clock cycle as part of the equality check when clearing the message.
• p9300 (SI Motion monitoring clock cycle, Motor Module) — the counterpart to p9500; check both clock cycles for equality.

Once the cause has been corrected, the safety message is acknowledged and the drive can be restarted. The standard acknowledgment is a POWER ON; the manuals additionally describe a safe acknowledgment without a POWER ON via the onboard F-DI (only CU310-2), via PROFIsafe or via the machine control panel. For G120 the manual names acknowledgment via F-DI or PROFIsafe.
