Description

Diaphragm seal systems are used to protect the pressure measuring instrument from aggressive, adhesive, crystallising, corrosive, highly viscous, environmentally hazardous or toxic media. The diaphragm made of stainless steel provides for the separation from the medium. The pressure is transmitted to the measuring instrument via the system fill fluid which is inside the Diaphragm seal system.

The DSS22P complies with all requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. The particular suitability for pharmaceutical products rests on the fact that the measuring point can be cleaned while installed.

The scale range of a pressure gauge defines the scale start value and full scale value of the scale printed on the dial of the pressure gauge. The correct scale range depends on the process pressure of the respective application and the process conditions. There are predefined standard scale ranges for pressure gauges in accordance with European and American standards. For special display ranges, please contact WIKA support. Ideally, the process pressure of the application should be approx. 2/3 of the full scale value of the pressure gauge. Example: For a process pressure of 40 bar, for example, a pressure gauge with a scale range of 0 to 60 bar would therefore be recommended.
