What it means
This is an instantaneous overcurrent message for Phase A of the drive input. The three input currents are monitored with Hall-effect current sensors, and their instantaneous values — the readings at that moment — are compared to the limit. When the Phase A input current exceeds the value that applies to the model of drive installed, the unit responds with a cycling shutdown. The trip point is not one fixed number: each drive model has its own input current fault value, listed in the settings section. The message concerns the input current of the drive; a separate message exists for high Phase A motor current.

- A second manual for this model prints the same table as drive amp ratings with instantaneous current values, listing 490 at 886, 0490A at 942 and 744 at 1446.
Reset and restart
A single occurrence of this message is a cycling shutdown. It escalates when it repeats: if three high input current cycling shutdown faults occur on any phase within 90 minutes, the third fault in that 90 minute period causes a Safety Shutdown. Until that third fault occurs, the event remains a cycling shutdown rather than a Safety Shutdown. When a Safety Shutdown has occurred, the chiller can be restarted after the CLEAR FAULTS button is pressed
