F01275 — Hardware description error

F01275 "Hardware description error" is raised by the Control Unit when an error occurs while it accesses the hardware description file on the CompactFlash card. The manual stores this file as DESC0000 in the folder ADDON/SINAMICS/DATA/HW_DESC, inside a subfolder that names the respective drive-object type. The decimal value in r0949 identifies the exact problem, from a missing or unreadable file to an inconsistency in the recorded numbers of adapters and modules. The manual designates the remedy for internal Siemens troubleshooting only, so no on-site measure is described for this fault.

• An error occurred while the Control Unit was accessing the hardware description file DESC0000 on the CompactFlash card (ADDON/SINAMICS/DATA/HW_DESC, in the subfolder for the drive-object type) — the file may be missing, unreadable, wrongly formatted, of the wrong version or internally corrupt.
• The hardware description itself is not consistent: the number of Power Stack Adapters (PSA), Sensor Module Cabinets (SMC), Voltage Sensing Modules (VSM), Terminal Modules (TM) or Terminal Boards (TB) recorded there does not fit (fault values 60 to 64).

The drive writes the following decimal values into r0949 for this fault:

• 63: Inconsistency: Number of Terminal Modules (TM).
• 64: Inconsistency: Number of Terminal Boards (TB).

• r0949 — fault value: read it as a decimal number and compare it with the list above to see which error occurred while the hardware description file was accessed.

The drive is brought to a standstill by this fault and will not restart until it has been acknowledged. Acknowledging requires switching the drive power supply off and on again (POWER ON). Because the manual reserves the correction of the underlying data error for internal Siemens troubleshooting, no further field-side measure is described; if the fault reappears after the restart, the description data on the CompactFlash card must be corrected by Siemens.
