A50001 — PN/COMM BOARD: Configuration error

A50001 is the PROFINET configuration error. The drive raises it when a PROFINET controller attempts to establish a connection using an incorrect configuring telegram. On the G130 and G150 the manual lists the message under the title PN/COMM BOARD: Configuration error and describes it for the CBE20; there it also appears when the "Shared Device" function has been activated (p8829 = 2). On the G120 and G120C the message is titled PROFINET configuration error and the corresponding setting is p8929 = 2. The alarm value can be read in r2124 and is to be interpreted as a decimal number; the values the manuals print for this code all describe a PROFIsafe conflict around the A CPU, the F-CPU and the activated PROFIsafe subslots. Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be issued as a fault instead of an alarm.

1. Check the configuration of the PROFINET controllers: the drive raises the message because a controller connects with an incorrect configuring telegram.
2. Check whether "Shared Device" is activated — p8829 = 2 on the CBE20 (G130/G150), p8929 = 2 on the G120 and G120C.
3. On the CBE20, also check the p9601.3 setting (p9601, SI enable functions integrated in the drive (Control Unit)).
4. Read the alarm value in r2124 as a decimal number and correct what it identifies: the PROFIsafe telegram setting of the F-CPU (p60022 on the G130/G150, p9501.30 on the G120) or the PROFIsafe subslots activated with p9601.3.

The manuals decode the alarm value differently for the CBE20 on the G130/G150 and for the G120:

• G130/G150, CBE20 (r2124, interpret decimal):
  • 10: A CPU sends a PROFIsafe telegram.
  • 11: F CPU sends a PZD telegram.
  • 12: F CPU without an A CPU.
  • 13: F CPU with more PROFIsafe subslots than activated with p9601.3.
  • 14: F CPU with fewer PROFIsafe subslots than activated with p9601.3.
  • 15: PROFIsafe telegram of the F-CPU does not match the setting in p60022.
• G120 (r2124, interpret decimal):
  • 10: A/F-CPU configures mixed PZD/PROFIsafe telegram.
  • 13: F-CPU and PROFIsafe is not activated (p9601.3).
  • 15: PROFIsafe telegram of the F-CPU does not match the setting in p9501.30.

• p8829 (CBE2x remote controller number): "Shared Device" on the CBE20 is activated when this is set to 2.
• p8929 (PN remote controller number): the "Shared Device" setting on the G120 and G120C — a value of 2 means the function is active.
• r2124 (alarm value): holds the alarm value of this message; read it as a decimal number and match it against the decoding above.
• p9601 (SI enable functions integrated in the drive (Control Unit)): check the p9601.3 setting — the CBE20 remedy names it, and it determines how many PROFIsafe subslots are activated for the F-CPU.
• p60022 (PROFIsafe telegram selection): the setting the PROFIsafe telegram of the F-CPU must match on the G130/G150 (alarm value 15).
• p9501 (SI Motion enable safety functions (processor 1)): on the G120, alarm value 15 compares the PROFIsafe telegram of the F-CPU with the setting in p9501.30.

As an alarm, A50001 needs no acknowledgement: once the configuration of the PROFINET controllers and the settings named above have been corrected, the alarm clears. If the drive is configured to issue the same condition as a fault, the CBE20 remedy prescribes no automatic reaction and the fault must be acknowledged immediately after the configuration is corrected.
