A07965 — Drive: Save required

On S120 and S150 drives, A07965 (Drive: Save required) tells the technician that the angular commutation offset (p0431) has been re-defined and that this new value has not been saved yet. The value is only held temporarily; for it to be permanently accepted, it must be written to non-volatile memory. Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be signaled with no reaction (N) instead of as an alarm.

• The angular commutation offset (p0431) was given a new value and has still not been saved; the manual cross-references the encoder adjustment that determines this offset (p1990) under this alarm.
• The new offset value only exists temporarily. For it to be permanently accepted, it must be saved in a non-volatile fashion (p0971, p0977), and that save has not been carried out yet.

1. Save the changed parameters: use p0971 to save the drive object parameters, or p0977 to save all parameters. Either save permanently accepts the re-defined angular commutation offset.
2. Do nothing further — the manual's remedy is 'not necessary'. The drive withdraws the alarm automatically once the data has been saved.

• p0431 — angular commutation offset: the value whose re-definition raises this alarm until it is saved.
• p0971 — save drive object parameters: writes the new angular commutation offset of the drive object permanently to non-volatile memory, clearing the alarm.
• p0977 — save all parameters: the alternative save command that permanently accepts the new offset value.
• p1990 — encoder adjustment 'determine angular commutation offset': the function the manual names alongside this alarm, because it re-defines p0431 and thereby triggers the save reminder.

No acknowledgement and no manual reset step are required. As soon as the parameters have been saved with p0971 or p0977, the drive withdraws A07965 by itself; until then it remains standing as a reminder that the new angular commutation offset is not yet stored permanently.
