מתג מפלס אופטי-אלקטרוני
תיאור
מתג מפלס אופטי-אלקטרוני מדגם OLS משמש לזיהוי מפלסים בתחום הגבולות בנוזלים. הוא אינו תלוי באופן נרחב במאפיינים פיזיקליים כגון מקדם שבירה, צבע, צפיפות, קבוע דיאלקטרי ומוליכות. המדידה מתבצעת גם בנפחים קטנים.
המתגים מורכבים מנורית LED אינפרה-אדומה ומפוטוטרנזיסטור. האור של ה-LED מופנה לתוך פריזמה. כל עוד קצה החיישן של הפריזמה נמצא בשלב הגז, האור מוחזר בתוך הפריזמה אל הקולט. כאשר הנוזל במכל עולה ומרטיב בערך 2/3 מקצה הזכוכית, קרן האור האינפרה-אדומה לתוך הנוזל מופרעת ורק חלק קטן מגיע אל הקולט. הפרש זה מוערך על ידי האלקטרוניקה ומפעיל פעולת מיתוג.

המכשירים עמידים מאוד ומתוכננים לתנאי הפעלה קשים.
הכבל אל מגבר המיתוג אינו דורש כל מיגון, מה שמאפשר חיווט קל וחסכוני. מגבר המיתוג מדגם OSA-S פועל עם מעגל אות בעל בטיחות מהותית (intrinsically safe). עבור גרסת כרטיס ה-plug-in 19", ניתן לגשת לכל רכיבי ההפעלה, למעט המתג לשינוי כיוון פעולת האזעקה והפוטנציומטרים לעיכוב הזמן, מהחזית. אם הוא משולב במארז תוספת, כיסוי שקוף מאפשר לראות את מצבי המיתוג.
