High Condenser Pressure Fault While Shutdown

Code / displayMeaningCauseActionPage
Condenser – High Pressure - Stopped Anticipatory safety fault that annunciates a condenser high pressure condition while the chiller is stopped. While the chiller is stopped, the condenser pressure exceeds 160.0 PSIG (R134a), 240.0 PSIG (R22). High temperature condenser water flowing through the condenser while the chiller is shutdown can cause a condenser high pressure condition resulting in loss of refrigerant. The chiller can be started after the condenser pressure decreases to less than 160.0 PSIG (R134a), 240.0 PSIG (R22) and a special reset procedure is performed: 1. Place the COMPRESSOR switch in the Stop-reset position. 2. At the keypad, login at Service access level using code 1 3 8 0. 3. Select COMPRESSOR screen. 4. Press the FAULT ACKNOWLEDGE key on the COMPRESSOR Screen. A dialog box appears displaying "Enter Password to Clear Fault". 5. Enter 1 3 9 7 and press the ENTER key (√). 1
Condenser – High Pressure Condenser high pressure fault detected while the chiller is in Pre-lube, System Run or Coastdown. Handled in the normal way; does not require the special reset procedure. 1

Style B Solid State Starter Faults

Code / displayMeaningCauseActionPage
LCSSS – OPEN SCR Open SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) fault message displayed by the Optiview Control Center when the fault data returned from the starter does not identify the phase in which the fault occurred (starters equipped with eprom version C.SSS.01.00 through C.SSS.01.02 in the starter Logic/Trigger Board). Open SCR fault detected by the Style B Liquid Cooled Solid State Starter (LCSSS). When the Solid State Starter initiates a shutdown, the fault data transferred to the Optiview Control Center is a function of the eprom (U16) in the starter Logic/Trigger Board. 2
LCSSS – Phase X Open SCR Open SCR fault message that identifies the defective phase (X replaced by A, B or C as appropriate). Displayed when this Flash Memory Card version is used with a starter Logic/Trigger Board equipped with version C.SSS.01.03 (and later) eprom. Open SCR condition detected by the Style B Liquid Cooled Solid State Starter; the C.SSS.01.03 (and later) eprom returns fault data that identifies the phase in which the Open SCR condition is detected. 2
LCSSS – Phase X Heatsink Temperature – Stopped Start Inhibit Fault (X replaced by A, B or C as appropriate) detected by the Style B Liquid Cooled Solid State Starter. No longer logged on the History Screen in this software version; continues to be displayed on the System Details line of the display and transferred to the MicroGateway. 2
