A34211 — VSM: Temperature alarm threshold exceeded

A34211 is the Voltage Sensing Module (VSM) temperature alarm: the temperature that the VSM measures (r3666) has exceeded the overtemperature alarm threshold stored in p3667. The drive records the temperature measured at the moment of initiation in the alarm value r2124 and places this value in the message value. Depending on the drive configuration, the same condition can also be issued as a fault (F) or with no reaction (N) instead of as this alarm.

• The temperature measured using the Voltage Sensing Module (VSM) — visible in r3666 — has exceeded the threshold value stored in p3667.

1. Check the fan.
2. Reduce the power.
3. Check the temperature sensor type setting (p3665).
4. For the infeed: check the line filter type setting (p0220).

The manual lists the two setting checks only for the infeed drive objects; for the remaining drive objects its remedy ends with the fan and the power.

• The drive puts the alarm value from r2124 into the message value; interpret r2124 as a decimal number.
• The value is the temperature actual value at the time the alarm was initiated, scaled in 0.1 °C steps.

• r3666 (CO: VSM temperature actual value) — the temperature the VSM is measuring; this is the value that exceeded the threshold and triggered A34211.
• p3667 (VSM overtemperature alarm threshold) — the threshold that the measured VSM temperature exceeded when the alarm was raised.
• r2124 (alarm value) — carries the message value of A34211: the temperature actual value at the time of initiation, read as a decimal number.
• p3665 (VSM temperature evaluation sensor type) — the sensor type setting the remedy tells you to check.
• p0220 — the remedy names this as the line filter type setting to check for the infeed; the parameter chapter titles it "Hydraulic oil modulus of elasticity" (Hydr_oil e_module).

As the alarm printed here, the drive takes no automatic action and no acknowledgement is needed. If the drive configuration issues the same condition as a fault (F), the drive still takes no automatic action, and the fault is acknowledged immediately (POWER ON); because the drive is not tripped, no special restart is required.
