A06602Infeed: Current offset measurement not possible

What it means

After OFF1 = 1 the infeed measures its current offset before the line contactor closes. A06602 appears when no valid measurement could be completed within the monitoring time set in p3491; the drive then sets the current offset to 0. The manual notes that without a valid measurement the quality of the DC link control can under certain circumstances be reduced. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can also be issued as a fault instead of an alarm.

Why it appears

  • After OFF1 = 1, no valid current offset measurement could be made within the monitoring time set in p3491 before the line contactor closes.

What to check

  1. Check the DC link for a ground fault — A ground fault can destroy parts and components!
  2. Check the monitoring time setting and increase it if required: at least 100 ms are needed for a valid measurement, i.e. p3491 > 100 ms.

Parameters the manual names

  • p3491 — Infeed I-offset measurement monitoring time: the window within which the current offset measurement must finish after OFF1. Check its setting and increase it if required so that a valid measurement is possible (more than 100 ms).

Acknowledging and restarting

The current offset measurement belongs to the OFF1 sequence: it is attempted after OFF1 = 1 and must complete within the monitoring time before the line contactor closes. If the drive's configuration raises the same condition as a fault instead of this alarm, it is acknowledged immediately with POWER ON.

Questions technicians ask

What does alarm A06602 mean on a SINAMICS infeed?

The infeed could not make a valid current offset measurement within the monitoring time p3491 after OFF1 = 1 and before the line contactor closed. The drive then sets the current offset to 0.

How do I fix A06602?

First check the DC link for a ground fault, then check the monitoring time p3491 and increase it if required — a valid measurement needs more than 100 ms.

What happens if the current offset measurement is not valid?

The current offset is set to 0, and the manual notes that under certain circumstances the quality of the DC link control is then reduced.

Can A06602 also appear as a fault?

Yes, depending on the drive's configuration the same condition can be raised as a fault instead of an alarm. As a fault it is acknowledged immediately with POWER ON.
